Drunken Monkey Coffee House

The Drunken Monkey Orlando

Want a cool vegetarian, vegan friendly coffee house where you can get exotic coffee made with milk or soy milk? Or how about a cafe that is famous for its daily home made soups and desserts? Well then the Drunken Monkey coffee bar may just be for you.

The people who run it are cool and environmentally conscious. Their food is organic and all ingredients are bought from local farmers. And most importantly it is absolutely delicious.

My friends and I go there several times a week just to try out the different daily soup specials. The people there are all artists, singers and computer geeks so it makes for an interesting crowd.

And they even have entertainment in the evenings like their comedy night, open mike nights and poetry slams.

Sounds interesting? Check it out.

Christinis Restaurant Review – Fine Dining Orlando

fine dining orlando

veal chop from Christinis Italian Restaurant

You all know that I love to eat and Italian food is at the top of my list. I also love Fine Dining when I can afford it.

When we want fine dining Italian in Orlando, Florida we go to Christinis Restaurant. The veal chop is so big and savory that Johnny Carson once made a joke about it. My favorite dish though is the Chilean Sea Bass over a shrimp risotto. Or if I am in the mood for pasta the Rigatoni Alla Zozzona. It is a heavenly pasta in a light cream and sausage sauce that has us all moaning with pleasure.

Being the chocolate fanatic that I am, I always end with the chocolate mouse cake and a cappuccino.

Oh if you love wine and specialty liquors this place has some of the smoothest most flavorful wines that I have ever tasted. Their sommelier is awesome at helping you pick out the perfect bottle for your meal and your budget. And if you are there for a romantic meal, you are in luck because ever woman gets a rose at the end of the meal.

Whether you are looking for a place to impress clients or somewhere to go for your anniversary, this place will be on the top of your list.

Les Chef de France in Epcot

french restaurant in Orlando

Rattatouie makes an appearance

This week I went with my mother to Epcot and dined in the casual Les Chef de France. This is the restaurant on the first floor of the French Pavilion. Here you can have home made French Onion Soup, fresh crepes, savory sea food dishes or a yummy baked macaroni and cheese dish.

The wait staff are pleasant and friendly. And if you are really lucky, they will bring over their animated version of Ratatouille. They bring him over and he chatters at you and moves. It is a great time for a photo op.

We have dined in the upstairs French restaurant before but find that we prefer this one, as it is less stuffy and less expensive plus the food is always delicious.
